Ashok Kumar Gupta, a retired IAS officer of the 1981 batch, served as the Chairperson of the Competition Commission of India and held several senior positions in government. His leadership roles included Secretary, Department of Defence Production, and Chairman Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Cements. He was also on the boards of key PSUs such as Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. and Heavy Engineering Corporation.
