Fellow Programme in Management
The Fellow Program in Management (FPM) is the doctoral-level programme of New Delhi Institute of Management, designed to develop high-quality researchers, academicians, and thought leaders in the field of management. Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Fellow Programme in Management was added to the bouquet of courses of NDIM in 2022 with the objective of advancing knowledge through rigorous research, interdisciplinary inquiry, and scholarly engagement.
The Institute offers the programme in two formats to cater to diverse learner profiles:
(i) FPM (Full-Time): Intended for candidates aspiring to build careers in academia and research, requiring full-time engagement with the programme.
(ii) Executive Fellow Program in Management (EFPM): Designed for working professionals, academicians, and industry practitioners who wish to pursue doctoral research while continuing their professional commitments.
Both formats emphasize the development of a strong theoretical foundation, methodological expertise, and the ability to undertake original research that addresses contemporary organizational and societal challenges.
The institute fosters a vibrant research culture through seminars, workshops, conferences, and colloquia, encouraging scholars to engage critically with emerging ideas and global perspectives. The programme is designed not only to build academic competence but also to instill ethical research practices and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Structure
The structure of the programme typically comprises two stages:
(i) Coursework Phase: Scholars undergo intensive coursework of one year in research methodology, quantitative and qualitative techniques, and domain-specific subjects. This phase is designed to build a robust conceptual and analytical base.
(ii) Thesis Phase: Upon successful completion of coursework, scholars engage in independent research under faculty supervision, culminating in a doctoral thesis that makes a significant contribution to the field.
Admission Eligibility Criteria:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering and Technology/ Management/ Economics/ Social Science/ Commerce/ Science/ Humanities with FIRST CLASS shall be considered for admission to Fellow Programme in Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 75% marks or equivalent grade point plus minimum of one year of work experience.
- Those appearing for their final examination in the respective discipline can also apply. Such students, if selected, shall be provisionally admitted provided they complete all requirements in obtaining their master’s degree before the end of the year of admission.
- For full time FPM, candidates who have qualified NET will be given preference.
Candidates with gender diversity, PWD (person with a disability), EWS (Economically weaker section), or rural-urban diversity are encouraged to apply for the FPM programme.
(The admission of these candidates shall remain provisional until they produce the mark sheet proving that they satisfy the eligibility criteria.)

Admission Procedure:
- Frequency of Admission: Once a year
- Intake for FPM: 10 students

- Duly filled-in application with self-attested copies of necessary certificates (Class 10th onwards) and other relevant documents (Publications if any, work exp. certificates, etc.) to be submitted in Hard Copy addressed to Director, New Delhi Institute of Management, 60 & 50(B&C), Tughlakabad Institutional Area, New Delhi – 110062
- The soft copy of the duly filled-in application form with self-attested copies of relevant documents as mentioned above is to be sent to [email protected]
- Application Fee of Rs. 1000/- shall be paid through UPI as per the following UPI details:
- A copy of UPI transaction ID (proof of payment) must be attached along with the Application form and research proposal and above-mentioned documents. If these documents are found unavailable, the application shall be deemed incomplete.
