ICGFBE has established itself as a multidisciplinary platform bringing together academicians, researchers, doctoral scholars, policymakers, industry professionals, financial experts, entrepreneurs and students from India and across the globe to deliberate on emerging developments in the global financial and business environment. The theme of 7th ICGFBE 2026, “Global Finance and Business in an Era of AI, Geopolitical Uncertainty and Sustainable Transformation,” reflects the unprecedented transformation taking place in financial markets, business models, technology, international trade and economic policy. The global economy is undergoing structural changes driven by Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, FinTech, digital assets, climate change, ESG considerations, changing monetary policies, geopolitical conflicts, supply-chain restructuring, protectionism, tariff policies, de-dollarisation debates, demographic changes and evolving regulatory frameworks. These developments have created both opportunities and challenges for businesses, financial institutions, governments and society. Financial markets are becoming increasingly interconnected, while technological innovations are transforming investment, banking, payments, risk management and corporate decision-making. 7th ICGFBE 2026 seeks to provide a global forum for knowledge creation, critical debate, interdisciplinary research and industry–academia collaboration on the emerging issues shaping the future of finance and business. The conference invites original research papers, conceptual papers, empirical studies, case studies, policy papers and practitioner perspectives that contribute to understanding the changing global financial and business environment. Selected papers will be considered for publication opportunities in reputed peer-reviewed journals and edited publications, subject to the respective journals’ independent review and editorial processes.

Conference Theme

“Global Finance and Business in an Era of AI, Geopolitical Uncertainty and Sustainable Transformation” The financial and business environment has entered a period of fundamental transformation. At the same time, geopolitical tensions, changing global alliances, trade restrictions, tariff measures, supply-chain disruptions, inflationary pressures and monetary-policy changes are creating new forms of financial and economic uncertainty. 7th ICGFBE 2026 will examine these developments from financial, economic, technological, managerial, social, regulatory and policy perspectives.

Theme Rationale

The global financial and business environment is increasingly characterised by interdependence, technological disruption and uncertainty. Artificial Intelligence is changing the way financial institutions analyse information, assess credit risk, detect fraud, manage portfolios and interact with customers. Generative AI is further transforming knowledge work, marketing, financial analysis, research and strategic decision-making. At the same time, sustainability has moved from being primarily a corporate social responsibility concern to an important component of investment decisions, financial regulation, risk management and corporate strategy. Climate-related financial risks, transition risks, carbon markets and sustainable investment instruments are becoming increasingly important for financial institutions and capital markets. The geopolitical environment has also become significantly more complex. Conflicts, trade restrictions, tariff policies, changing international alliances and restructuring of global supply chains are influencing inflation, commodity prices, exchange rates, investment flows and corporate strategies. The emergence of digital currencies, crypto-assets, tokenisation, blockchain-based financial systems and Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) is further challenging traditional concepts of money and financial intermediation. Against this background, there is an urgent need for interdisciplinary academic research that connects theory with practice and finance with technology, sustainability, economics, public policy and business strategy. ICGFBE 2026 aims to provide such a platform.

Global Context

The world economy is moving towards a new phase of globalisation characterised by digitalisation, regionalisation, technological competition and supply-chain diversification. Businesses are increasingly required to manage multiple risks simultaneously:
  • Geopolitical risks
  • Climate and environmental risks
  • Cybersecurity risks
  • Financial and market risks
  • Currency and interest-rate risks
  • Supply-chain disruptions
  • Regulatory uncertainty
  • Technological disruption
  • Data and privacy risks
  • Changing consumer behaviour
The traditional boundaries between finance, technology, business and economics are rapidly disappearing. The conference will therefore encourage research that addresses the following fundamental questions:
  • How will AI transform financial markets and business decision-making?
  • How can financial systems support sustainable and inclusive economic growth?
  • How should businesses respond to geopolitical and trade-related uncertainty?
  • What will be the future architecture of global financial markets?
  • How can emerging technologies improve financial inclusion while managing new risks?
  • How can businesses build resilient and sustainable global supply chains?
