Mr. D V Shastry is an astute professional leader with more than 40 years of multifarious experience in Natural Gas Industry, encompassing its Technical and Managerial aspects such as Project Management, O&M of Natural Gas Pipelines and Gas Processing Plants, L&D, HR and HRD. Presently, he is the Executive Director, Natural Gas Society – (a Non-Profit Organization in Natural Gas Sector) and the Chairman, Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD) – Delhi Chapter. He is the former Director on the Board of M/s GAIL Gas Ltd and former Director (Personnel), Electronics Corporation of India (ECIL) – a CPSE under the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India. He is M Tech in Energy Systems Engg. from IIT, Bombay with a Post Graduate Diploma in Management [DIM] and Advanced Certification in HRM [ACHRM]. He is a Member of the Board of Studies (BoS), AIMA; GB, FORE Society, Technical Committee, Future Energy Asia 2024 and 2025, Bangkok, and India Energy Week 2025, New Delhi, etc. He has also been a Member of the Jury for FICCI Higher Education Excellence Awards and the Jury for SHRM HR Excellence Awards, etc. He has been conferred with several Awards like “ISOL Distinguished Scholar” Award, “Asia Pacific Gennext Leadership” Award, “Emerging HRD Thinker” Award, etc. He has had extensive participation as a speaker as well as a delegate in several National and International Conferences/Seminars and L&D programs in Technical and Management disciplines.
