The Institute was decorated with beautiful rangoli of Ma Durga Students gave overwhelming performances. Dhunuchi Naach was started by students on the beats of Dhak. Bengali and non-Bengali students and faculty members danced and enjoyed together. Odyssey dance, songs and video and group dance by students were very much praised by the student audience. Students started playing dandiya in the evening

He spoke to NDIM students about Competition in student vs. corporate life. He told NDIM students how he changed himself from knowing only two languages (Hindi & Sanskrit) to be fluent in English. While interviewing a candidate, he looks at the attitude, personality, willingness to do anything, basic communication skill and confidence to face the world. He was of the opinion “knowledge is subjective, what matters are practical knowledge and implementing what we learn practically”. At the end he gave message to all NDIM students that “it is you who is responsible for your salary, if you are willing to change, nobody in the world can stop you”

NDIM students asked while interacting asked whether one should look for a start-up or an already well established firm to work for, he advised to work for an already well-established firm first and then after a couple of years switch to a start-up. When asked that should a management graduate look for his personal goals or work towards the organizational goals, he said that generally it is said that one should work towards the organizational goals, wherein if the organization achieves its target, the individual will automatically achieve his/her personal goal. He also said that it’s not always necessary that one is allowed to freely do whatever he/she wants to do in a start-up, which is generally the thinking of the young graduates.
