Psychometric Test

Psychometrics is the field of study concern with the theory and techniques of educational and psychological measurement, which includes the measurement of knowledge, abilities, attitudes and personality traits by way of questionnaires and tests.

We at NDIM strongly believe that self assessment is fundamental for an individual to understand himself better and work upon himself to become fully equipped to face the challenges in future. The psychometric tests are useful in evaluating the personality attributes and since there is an ownership due to self assessment, the findings go a long way in making the students work towards improved personality, communication skills and presentation skills. These tests aid the students to discover their interest areas and further help them to channelize their efforts and focus on achieving their objectives which contributes to their success and growth not only as an individual but also prove as a valuable asset to the organization that they aspire to be a part of.

A Multivariable Personality Inventory (MPI) has been administered to the students consisting of the following dimensions:

  • Dominance
  • Neuroticism
  • Empathy
  • Need – achievement
  • Ego – ideal
  • Introversion
  • Self – confidence
  • Dogmatism
  • Pessimism

Every student's Personality Inventory attempts to present a clearer picture as to how the inner qualities and behavior would enable the student to function appropriately as a dignified individual.

Apart from this a scale on communication skills is also developed and administered to find out the areas that would require improvement and further hence enhance the personality and boost the morale of the students by making them more confident to face the challenges of the corporate world.

To progress our efforts in developing the students, NDIM is also developing a psychometric laboratory, containing mostly standardized tests with the objective of making assessment of:
